Civil, Stormwater and Structural Certifications
At SJEO, our stormwater and structural design certification process is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), the Building Act 1993, the Building Regulations 2018, and the National Construction Code (NCC).
SJEO are responsible for preparing and certifying engineering design documentation that demonstrates compliance with all relevant Australian Standards, NCC performance requirements, and local council drainage policies.
The Certification Process Ensures:
- Structural and stormwater designs are safe, durable, and compliant with the performance provisions of the NCC
- Documentation, including drawings and computations, is reviewed, signed, and certified by a Registered Building Practitioner (RBP – Civil / Structural Engineer)
- All civil and drainage designs meet council and authority requirements for on-site detention, stormwater discharge, and overland flow
- Certificates (such as Regulation 126 Certificates) are issued to support the Building Permit application process
